With over 11 miles of trails to hike, we got started pretty quick.

Story Walk Trail

As soon as you come into the front entrance of the state park you will have your first trail, the Story Walk Trail. The trail starts directly to the left of the Veteran’s Memorial. This trail is designed for kids in the way of having a book to read along the way. With being only 0.5 miles long it is an easy task for kids. Along the trail you have a playground and basketball court. There are a set of bathrooms, but we didn’t get to see what they were like due to the lights not working.
